Sunset Rabbit Mug
Each of my “henna mugs” is a one-of-a-kind piece of functional artwork. White stoneware clay is formed on the wheel; color and handles are added a day or two later. Drying is carefully monitored, and when they are just right an ornate design is carved onto the surface. My motifs are inspired by nature and by many patterns seen in henna artwork; while some are similar, no two are exactly alike. My pieces are made in small batches throughout the year. Mugs are approximately 4.5” to 5” tall by about 3 1/2 inches wide (not including handle) and hold about 12 fluid ounces. They’re safe to use in both microwave and dishwasher, though gentle hand-washing will extend the life of any ceramic object.
